Stories to Grow By Welcomes 2022!
As 2022 begins we wanted to take a moment to thank you for your subscription support! Needless to say, 2021 was a huge year, and our loyal subscribers played a large part in that. We sincerely thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
2022 is going to be even better. We look forward to providing the following to all of you this year:
- Continued monthly communications with deeper and more rich offerings
- All stories being updated to contain engaging illustrations
- Providing new and specific website destinations for Parents & Guardians, Educators, English Language Learners, and Children
- New and engaging stories from around the world
We can't wait to share more with you as new offerings and features get completed!
Stories to Grow By Helps Connect Families
Stories to Grow By has been offering meaningful stories since the 1990's and our tales reach far and wide. That has always been part of our goals at Stories Grow By: reach as many people as possible and impact them positively with our stories. Often we are very kid-centric, teacher focused, and parent oriented BUT our stories always have wide appeal; sharing powerful tales of human ethics and connection.
We wanted to take a brief moment and highlight a wonderful testimonial that was shared with us from one of our community members. This message comes from Nathan and it is truly heartening. Read Nathan's message below:
"Hello!
[I have been] married now for 61 years, my wife has been disabled for 35 years [after suffering from] a series of five strokes. I was able, using...computer technology, to rebuild some of her brain’s function. Unfortunately she is now in mid-stages of Alzheimer’s and I am losing ability to reach and interact with her.
Searching for some way to stay in contact, I stumbled on your fantastic website, “Stories to Grow By”. Almost unbelievably your site and the superb collection [of stories] you have assembled have permitted me to reconnect with her to a much greater degree than before. I write to thank you for opening pathways that were closed and would have remained so we’re it not for your site."

Stories to Grow By Begins Donation Campaign
As we look ahead to 2022, we are asking for your direct financial support. The reality is our offerings and content require financial support to keep everything running. We will not run ads on our website as they do not align with the core foundation of Stories to Grow By. Therefore, we rely on donations and generous gifts to keep us going.
We are asking all our subscribers, no matter what size, to support us financially if you can. Even a small donation would mean so much and help us forge ahead and realize our goals. Weighing the Elephant: January 2022 Featured Story

Story Summary
The Emperor of China is gifted an Elephant; an elegant animal that no one in China had ever seen before. Soon after, all in the Emperor's court were raving about the Elephant - sparking a heated debate on how big the Elephant was and how much it exactly weighed.
Along came the Emperor's Son to help settle the debate. Using intuition and logic, the Emperor's Son makes a ingenious suggestion for everyone to get their answer.
